Once again it's been awhile since I'm posted anything. Life has been pretty busy which is nothing new. So here is a little update on what we've been up to over the past couple months.
We planted a potato crop and I think we went a little overboard. We planted 144 potato plants thinking they wouldn't all come up, but they all did! We went and harvested 1 of our 6 rows and got over 150 pounds of potatoes! I know what we are going to be eating all winter!!
Oh, the biggest thing that has happened is Jacob got his cast off!!! October 4th was the day. The doctors all told us when he broke his leg that he would be in the cast up to 8 weeks, but then they said 6 or 7 weeks. But the x-rays all showed he was healing really quickly and they took it off at 5 1/2 weeks! He did so well and didn't even cry when they cut the cast off. He did cry a little when they moved his leg around after though. But it was the best feeling in the world to hold him close without that smelly cast! It took him a couple weeks to walk around again. He had to learn to balance again. Now he walks with a little limp but it gets better every day. Now the Dr.'s say they will watch for one leg growing faster then the other.
We went to Kayak Park one day. The wind was blowing good and making lots of waves on the water. The kids had the park to themselves and had a great time!
We went to our ward Halloween party. Jacob fell asleep on the 10 minute car ride to the church and slept for the 1st hour of the party.
Emma was a princess. Daniel was a knight. Jacob was a monkey and Noah was a t.v. They all had a good Halloween and got lots of candy. Noah plans to turn his in to the orthodontist for some money. That is the only reason he went out trick or treating this year. And I don't think he's eaten a single piece of candy. I can't say the same for the other kids!
Oh, the biggest news of all is that I am pregnant with baby number 5! We are super excited to bring another wonderful child into our family. I haven't been as sick with this pregnancy as with the others. I have discovered some essential oils that have helped so much with the morning sickness! I am due the 1st week of June. I guess that's all the news so far. I will try to post again soon.
