Yesterday was Emma's first day of Kindergarten. She has been so excited for weeks about starting. We had a calm morning and the boys were kind enough to sleep in so Emma and I could have breakfast together, just the two of us. She and I walked to the end of the street and waited for the bus.
I was really nervous about putting her on the bus the first day, but she really really wanted to ride that school bus. So I thought why not, it would be way easier for me to not have to get all the kids ready and drive to the school.

She was excited until she took that first step onto the bus, then she turned to me and said "Mom, I'm scared!" and then she started to cry. The bus driver was great and said it would be fine. Then she was off to school. It was a very quiet day for us at home without Emma around. The boys didn't really fight at all and it was kinda peaceful. We met her at the bus at 3:15pm and she got off the bus smiling and informed us that she had a lot of fun at school and only cried on the bus a little and then when she got off the bus at the school a little. So I was very happy. She said she wants to go back, and is kinda disappointed she has to wait till Tuesday to go back.
We should be hearing from Noah's teacher this week and hopefully we will start school for him next week. But for now we are just doing our own school work till we officially start. I am trying out a new program called K12 for his school work this year. I hope it goes well.

Poor Emma! I'm glad she didn't cry a lot more after she left! :)

You'll have to let us know how the K12 works. I've heard of it. I think it might be similar to Internet Academy, which is what I did for school in high school and I liked a lot.
