RC Planes

Kendall has always loved airplanes. His knowledge of airplanes amazes me. We have two book shelves devoted to books on airplanes and he's read everyone of them. He has passed his love of airplanes on to all our children. Kendall has recently decided he needs to get back into RC planes. He just recently made an aerobatic plane and is learning to fly it. In the past he has only flown glider planes. Noah thinks his plane is the 'coolest ever" and wanted one of his own. So Kendall got Noah his very own RC plane to start learning how to fly. We took the plane to the church gym so that he would have lots of room to fly.
Daniel LOVES airplanes! He can't say airplane yet but he does know how to say airplane in sign language, and says it all the time.
Here is Noah with his very first RC airplane.

Noah did so great flying his plane. It is pretty slow moving so he would chase after it as he was controlling it.

Noah flew the plane up onto the little ledge and it's not like we could just throw something at it to knock it down! Kendall had to climb the wall to retrieve it.

Noah having a great time flying!

This is Kendall's plane. We call it Greene. We thought the church gym would be big enough to fly, but after a couple of tries we decided it wasn't big enough, and went home to make some repairs to the plane. Now we fly it outside when there is no wind. The whole plane only weighs 5 oz, so if there is any wind at all the plane is really really hard to control.

Kendall getting ready to fly the plane for the first time. (He was a little nervous, didn't want to total the plane on the first flight.)

Preschool

I'm doing a preschool with 3 other moms and this week was my week to teach. The letter we were learning was Y. So we made some yellow play dough on one of the days. The boys loved it cause it was kind of messy.

Easter Fun!

My Mom and Tedra arrived Saturday evening just in time for dinner and dying Easter eggs.

The kids had a lot of fun coloring the eggs! Before we started Emma asked if she could have one, I told her yes thinking she wanted to color it. Next thing I know she is trying to crack it so she can eat it! I had to explain again what they were for and that we would eat them after they were colored.

Easter Morning Noah woke up first and was SOOO very EXCITED!! The Easter bunny was extra generous this year....which had nothing to do with the fact that Manna was here! :)

Noah and Emma checking out there little nests filled with goodies!

The Easter Bunny also hid eggs all over the house for the Kids to find. Noah searching for eggs....I spy a purple one.

The Easter Bunny must have been really tall cause he could hide the eggs way up high!

Emma found some in the vacuum!

Daniel playing with a little bunny.

Daniel didn't really understand why he had to search for eggs that were out of sight when there was a big pile of eggs right on the floor...and Emma kept adding to the pile!

Emma and Tedra Easter morning.

Children's Museum

Saturday we met up with my sister Jessica, her daughter Emily, and my mom, and step sister Tedra at the Children's Museum in Seattle. We had a great time visiting. Sadly they left after an hour as Emily got sick and needed to go home. But we did get some great pictures before and after they left.

They had a really neat grocery store where the kids could go shopping. Everything was kid sized and Daniel went straight for the freezer section and got his ice cream!

Here Daniel is trying his best to get the ice cream out of the freezer! Emma came to his rescue and helped him reach it!

Daniel filling his cart with cans of beans, yummy!

Daniel needs to work on his cart pushing skills! He kept running into people and shelves....sometimes I think he was aiming for them!

Emma shopping.

Emma and Daniel riding the firetruck.

They had a little theater where the kids could dress up in costumes and "perform" on stage. Emma had a lot of fun!

Noah and Kendall spent a lot of time in the bob the builder section of the museum, here Noah is posing next to his creation.

Close up of Noah with his building.

The boys working hard.

Just getting started on the building. Noah was so excited to have his daddy there to help. Last time we came here Kendall wasn't able to come and all Noah wanted was for Kendall to come and help him.

Emma enjoyed wearing the hat and running around!

This is Daniel right before lunch....as you can see he wasn't to happy!

Emma and Emily sleeping in one of the little houses....this was right before we discovered she had a fever. Oops!

Noah, Emma and Emily cooking in the little kitchen....Emma is digging up something special for us to eat! (she is gonna kill me for writing that someday).

Daniel getting a plastic loaf of bread....he was a little confused about the plastic food at first.

Noah, Emma and Manna going for a ride.

The kids loved this little motor bike!

Daniel was attracted to the wheels!

FHE Picnic

Monday we decided to have family home evening outside at a park close by our house. There are a couple of lakes for the kids to play by and we had a little picnic and just let the kids enjoy the warm sunshine! We all had a wonderful time. Daniel wouldn't leave the blanket we brought as he didn't like the feel of the grass, but found plenty to keep himself entertained.
The kids had a hard time eating as they wanted to play the whole time!

Noah and Emma watching the ducks in the lake.

Daniel being his happy self! About the marks on his face...he has had 3 run ins with the steps on our porch in the last two days! The first time Emma lured him out while I wasn't looking and he fell the two steps down, the second time it happened Emma left the back door open and he stepped out and fell and the third time happened when he was pushing a little shopping cart and got going to fast.

Emma exploring the trails around the lake!

Yesterday was kind of a sad day for Kendall. It was a day we knew was coming soon. A guy stopped by around noon yesterday while Kendall was at work. He had just moved here from Texas and was looking for a truck. His friend had seen our truck and noticed is never moved and wanted to know if we were thinking about selling it. Truth is, we have been thinking about selling it for a long time, but Kendall really liked having a truck...I think it's a man thing. I told him come back when Kendall was home and he did. We talked about it and decided on a fair price and sold the truck. So now we are a one car family again.

My Crazy Week

Just a quick update on Daniel. His pediatrician said that she has seen several cases of roseola, so keep an eye out for a rash. Well the rash has made its appearance. So it was roseola. Noah had it when he was a baby too.

This week has been kind of crazy. I was looking forward to this week, but it didn't turn out the way I had planned. My sister Jessica and her daughter Emily planned to be here on Wednesday for a visit. The kids were looking forward to time with their cousin. Jessica and I were going to do some shopping at the outlets. And I had 10-15 women coming to my house for book club Thursday night. So I spent Monday and Tuesday trying to get the house cleaned.
Well Daniel woke up from his nap Tuesday afternoon with a fever 104.5 and a runny nose. Gave him Tylenol and thought it was just really bad teething. Cleaning the house was put on hold as he would cry every time I put him down. Well he had the fever all the next day. My sister got here and the kids had a blast playing. Wednesday night Daniel still had a high fever 104.9, and his hands and feet were purple. So I decided to take him to the walk in clinic and just get him checked out. They did a chest x-ray, checked to see if he had the flu (which came back negative). They still couldn't figure out why his pulse-ox was low and so they said he needed to be sent to the hospital in Everett for observation. So they sent me straight to the hospital er.
I have never really been to the ER before....crazy place to spend the night! I got there with him at 9pm and got all set up for a very long night of no sleep for the both of us! He threw up all over the place when we got there. Then they said he was dehydrated (even though he had been drinking tons all day and kept it all down!). So they put an IV in him. I felt so bad for him...took 4 tries before they got it in. He had that nurses face memorized by the end...and whimpered every time she came in. At 3am they finally decided to admit him and we got out of the ER. Yea! His fever finally broke at 5am. He was able to eat breakfast in the morning and keep it all down. They said all the tests they ran came back just fine and said it was some kind of virus and let us go home about noon. He is doing much better now and is finally becoming himself again. I had to take him in to see his regular pediatrician today and she said he was fine. I just felt terrible that I my sister was left with the kids most of the time. Kendall did stay home yesterday and today as he also wasn't feeling very well. Emma has a stuffy nose and slept in our bed with me last night...which is a 1st. My kids never sleep in our bed. Kendall slept in her bed as he said he could still smell the paint in our room and it was keeping him up.(I just painted the walls in our room the week before.) So I was up all night again with her as every 10 minutes she would roll over and say "my noe is upped up". Jessica and I did get to go out shopping and had fun. I got a skirt and a new dress. I wasn't going to get the dress as it was kind of pricey, and told her to put it back for me (I am so cheap when it comes to spending money on myself). But she went and bought it and surprised me with it when we got home.

Emily loved Daniel and was always trying to feed him....he really liked her too. :)

Kendall said Emily and Emma looked like twins running around. Emily is 1 year older and they are both blond and about the same height. And both LOVE pink!

Emma and Emily got new sun glasses and had to get pictures with them, of course Noah had to get his glasses out too. It was nice to visit with my sister and I wish things had been different and we could have spent more time together, but we will get together again soon. So my week was crazy, but hopefully everything will calm down and we will have a "normal" quiet week next week.....we can only hope, right?
